Reflexology is a type of rehabilitation that mainly deals with the many “reflex points” found in the feet, hands and ears that relate to certain organs and glands in the body. Using specific techniques; a therapist will stimulate those reflex points to promote health and vitality in the organ via the body’s energy pathways. Reflexology is known to be a profoundly relaxing treatment which can be felt throughout the entire body. Our Mississauga Massage Therapist – Sandra Dale performs our reflexology treatments.

Is Reflexology covered by insurance?
Reflexology is not under the RHPA (Regulated Health Professionals Act) and therefore is not covered by extended health insurance plans
Why is Reflexology beneficial?
Reflexology is very beneficial in conjunction with helping the body’s alignment in orthotics, chiropractic care, and massage therapy.
How does Reflexology work?
The patient comfortably lies on their back with their legs elevated by pillows. The patient can wear comfortable pants as long as they are able to be rolled up to the knee or the patient maybe be covered by a sheet. Reflexology sessions are 45 minutes in length with the added benefits of aromatherapy oils.
Who can have Reflexology?
Reflexology is safe for everybody including children, expectant mothers and the elderly. There are not many contradictions to reflexology. Reflexology however is not advised if the patients have had recent surgery, contact dermatitis, plantar warts or open cuts. We remain committed to adhering to the highest possible health and safety standards to ensure the health and hygiene of all clinic visitors. We are following all guidelines from Ontario public health officials, and our governing bodies.
