Naturopathy
Naturopathic medicine addresses the root cause of health concerns or a collection of symptoms. Its goal is to see symptoms as a ‘red flag’ and goes beyond to find the deeper issues at play. If a body’s root imbalance is found and treated, symptoms and disease states can be eliminated.
Our experienced Naturopaths create a personalized treatment plan for you to address a new, or chronic condition.

What does a primary consultation with a naturopathic doctor involve?
The first consultation will take 75 minutes. Return visits take 30 to 45 minutes depending upon the treatment. The patient will be asked to complete a detailed health questionnaire, designed to help identify specific health needs. A case oriented physical will be done as required as well as diagnostic tests. After the initial consultation, physical examination and review of the case, an effective treatment program will be created to address the health concerns.
Is Naturopathic medicine covered by OHIP?
Can a naturopathic doctor treat serious chronic disease?
Yes. Naturopaths see many patients with chronic diseases, most of whom have tried the conventional approach without success. Others are taking medication and want support for the side effects. There are many approaches a Naturopathic Doctor can take to addressing their needs such as the use of Homeopathy, Acupuncture, Nutrition and Supplementation either orally or by intravenous. IV treatments can be particularly helpful for cancer patients because the disease itself weakens the patient’s body, often impairing appetite and therefore nutrition.
Can children and/or babies see a naturopathic doctor?
Yes, it is preferred to see and treat a patient, if necessary, at the earliest opportunity, so that an illness does not become a chronic condition, such as eczema.
