A Bedroom Sanctuary

Would you consider your bedroom fit for a sleeping beauty?

If the answer is yes- congratulations and this message will self-destruct in 5 seconds….

If the answer is not yet, let me give you some tidbits of information so you can:

  • Increase your mental acuity
  • Increase your skin’s glow (yes-this has been studied and correlated!)
  • Improve the thickness of your hair (study in women)

Here are my top 3 tips for transforming your space into a sanctuary:

1.  Black out blinds: unplug all those devices and get that room dark enough so you can’t see your hand in front of your face! If that isn’t possible then a night light with a warm glow (no blue light!) can be used. This way melatonin levels soar and cortisol dips down to a safe and ideal level.

2.  Cool it! It is a little known fact that the ideal temperature to sleep in is actually 17-18 degrees C. Who’s heard of the Hotel de Glace in Quebec? You can bet your bottom dollar that the air is crisp and cool! And yes, people do pay to go to this hotel!

3.  See you later WIFI: You can program your house WIFI to be flipped off at night. This helps to settle your nervous system to have a very deep and peaceful slumber. (radiation from wireless technology does affect the autonomic nervous system)
