4 Ways to Naturally Support Pregnancy

Here are two of our favourite ways to support YOU when you’re expecting

1) Doula & Naturopathic Services

As a Naturopathic Doctor and Birth Doula, Dr. Kajal Chohan provides expecting mothers support for all stages of care, including prenatal, labor and post-partum. She has worked alongside midwives and obstetricians to help provide a positive and safe birth experience for expecting mothers and birth partners.

She utilizes a range of methods, including lifestyle changes, acupuncture, supplements, physical exercises, mental health advice, etc.

Our Naturopaths also assist with post-partum, taking care of both mom and baby’s needs.

2) Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy

Our Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist, Farah Malik, works with women to strengthen their pelvic floor, treat issues like urinary urgency/leakage, bowel irregularities, and more.

Pelvic Floor Physio can help prepare the body for delivery with the use of specific exercises, and can also aid in post-partum pelvic issues.

3) Acupuncture To Induce labour Naturally

Dr. Chohan, ND provided acupuncture to help prepare a pregnant patient for labour. This acupuncture protocol can safely help naturally induce labour. Acupuncture points include the low back, hands, and ankle regions.

This pregnant mama went into labour about 6 hours after the treatment!

4) Massage Therapy for Pregnancy

Our Massage Therapists have had several pregnant patients experience relief after a massage session.

Pregnancy can bring on different muscle tension, aches. and pains that can make day-to-day living quite difficult. Massage therapy can help alleviate those pains, as well as boost energy, calm the mind, and improve blood-flow.
